I'm excited about this site. Finally a "virtual dap-ayan" for all cordillerans and friends. Now we don't have to deal with those pesky half-naked ladies that are always asking to be your friend at friendster. Am I the only one getting those?Did I click on a wrong link and now am getting showered with invites?

Now we can discuss and argue about things that makes sense like;

Do you prefer your pinikpikan with etag or no etag? Did our old foks have to untie their g-string when they have to "go" or did they just slide them over?

Or laugh about this! Happy Fathers Day Everyone!

Poker Laws:
TEXAS

Section 47.01 prepares the reader with definitions:

"Gambling place": any real estate where gambling is occuring, versus "Private place"
"Private Place": any real estate where gambling is occuring that is not open to the public

Section 47.02 has a partical definition of "gambling" as any act of playing and betting for money or any other item of value, a game of cards, dice, or other. For a valid defense, you need to prove that all the players were competing with equal odds, and that the gamling occured in private. Home poker games are legal in Texas as long as the game is in private, there is financial benfit except for money that is won, and all the players have equal odds of winning. There have been a couple of instances of raids on poker games in Texas but this is mainly due to the fact that there seems to be some really big underground games which are played at clubs. This shouldn't worry anyone hosting a casual game because the games that were busted were basically underground casinos making tons of money.

It's been a while since the last update we did at Cordillerans.com and the site became so boring for not keeping up with the new innovations in technology of connecting communities. Cordillerans are spread-out all over the world and the least we can do is to unite us all virtually in keeping our rich art, culture and tradition alive. Being Cordillerans has built us a stong foundation that we can build on and conquer anything that may come our way. Our culture and tradition is what keeps up going and strong. It is what set us apart from everyone - being indegineous.

After all is said and done, all i'm asking our fellow Cordillerans is to support this project - it's for a good cause, the cause of keeping our rich culture and tradition alive with the hope of passing it on to generations to come.

We are not trying to raise money here and infact all the time and resources being use to run this site came from our own funding and the time spent in building it is all voluntary.

Thank you once again Fellow Cordillerans!
